Together they found a lot of success and Gabby won the 2015 IndyCar Rookie of the Year title. Gabby returns to Bryan Herta Autosport in 2020 making the transition full time to Sports Car racing. When he's not racing he compete in track and field events, and championship drone racing competitions. Gabby co-owns "Mobile Pitstop" with fellow professional sports car driver, Juan Piedrahita. He resides in Indianapolis with his wife, Gabi.

    Early Career

    After winning multiple International karting championships, Chaves transitioned to racing cars in 2007 in various Skip Barber series in the United States. In 2008 he made his pro debut in Formula BMW Americas and finished 4th in Formula BMW Pacific and finished 14th in the Formula BMW World Finals. In 2009 he competed in a full season of Formula BMW Americas for Eurointernational and won the title, capturing 5 wins and 3 poles.
    Chaves brought his career to Europe in 2010, where he raced in the Italian Formula Three Championship with Eurointernational. He finished 10th in points and captured rookie of the year honors. In 2011 he signed to race with the Addax Team in the GP3 Series. Chaves finished 19th in points with a best finish of fourth at the Valencia Street Circuit.
    American Open-Wheel Racing
    In 2012, Chaves return to the United States and signed with JDC Motorsports to race in the Star Mazda Championship. Chaves finished second in points with wins at the final two races of the season at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta. The driver climbed to the Indy Lights in 2013, having signed for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. He was runner-up with one win and ten podiums, and was part of the closest finish in the history of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (when Peter Dempsey grabbed the Freedom 100 victory as part of a four-wide photo finish. Dempsey finished ahead of Chaves by a mere 0.0026 seconds).

    Ryan started his racing career on two wheels in his native Ohio, he was a successful motocross racer. He transitioned to cars in 2015 and found success, winning in multiple classes while competing in the SCCA. Norman moved to the competitive Indy Lights Series in 2017 where he drove for Andretti Autosport scored podiums and victories over four season. Norman joined BHA in 2020 to compete full-time in the #33 Hyundai Veloster N TCR. An avid watch collector, Ryan enjoys scuba diving, basketball and video games. He resides in Fort Meyers, Florida.

    Early Career

    Norman started in motocross when he obtained an AMA at the age of twelve. When turning sixteen Norman’s father invited Ryan for a three-day course at the Skip Barber Racing School. Norman joined the Skip Barber Winter Series for the first two rounds of the championship. In November 2015 the Ohio native finished seventh in his debut race, at Road Atlanta.
    American Open Wheel Racing
    Ryan Norman transitioned to cars and joined the SCCA Formula Enterprises class in 2015. In his debut season, Norman won the second race at Sebring International Raceway in the U.S. Majors Tour Southeastern Conference. After winning more races at Road Atlanta and Virginia International Raceway securing the second place in the championship.  Also in 2015, he raced for Comprent Motorsports and finished second at the prestigious June Sprints, behind multiple class champion Scott Rettich. Norman again finished second to Rettich at the prestigious SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Daytona International Speedway. At the end of the season Norman made his debut in a Formula Atlantic Swift 016.a. racing in the Historic Sportscar Racing organization. At Sebring, the Ryan Norman won his class.
    For the 2016 season, Norman stepped up to the Atlantic Championship joining K-Hill Motorsports coached by former ChampCar driver Tanis Kasemets. Norman won both exhibition events at Palm Beach and Sebring. Yearning for as much seat-time and experience as possible, Norman raced with the SVRA organization at selected events. At Mid-Ohio Norman made his debut in a 2007 Dallara Indy Lights racing car and won the race.
    For 2017 Norman stepped up to the Indy Lights Championship driving for Andretti Autosport. Norman continued with Andretti Autosport racing in the ultra-competitive Indy Lights Series where he earned race wins, multiple podium finishes and two top five finishes in the Indy Lights Championship in 2018 and 2019. Norman had his first IndyCar test with Andretti at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 25, 2019.
