San Pedro, Calif. (October 15, 2017) Cabot Bigham and the #2 King Taco Bryan Herta Rallysport Supercar completed 2017 on one of the team’s highest notes this Red Bull Global Rallycross season placing fourth in the Round 12 Final. The 21-year-old had his most competitive weekend to date finishing third in qualifying, fifth in Heat 1B, second in Heat 2A, and second in Semifinal A at the Port of Los Angeles.
Bigham started the Round 12 Final on the front row for the first time this season, giving him a prime location to challenge Red Bull Global Rallycross winners and champions. The rookie battled with the 2017 Season Champion, Scott Speed most of the race finishing just two spots behind him to earn a fourth-place finish.
“This was the final race of the 2017 season,” Said Bigham. “And the track was absolutely fantastic. With a lot of corners that reminded me of my Formula Car days. So, naturally, the car and I were linked up all weekend and the team did a great job keeping the car underneath me. In the Heat races, I found myself in good and bad situations. Fortunately, I was able to get a second place finish in the semifinal right behind Tanner Foust, and that allowed me to start on the front row in my first Supercar Final. That was a massive improvement for us as a whole, and I think that every single weekend that we’ve raced we have shown how much we have improved. Coming into next year we are going to be extra strong, and I have been very happy to have run my first official Red Bull Global Rallycross season with Bryan Herta Rallysport.”
