Bigham Makes Improvements in Ottawa for Doubleheader Weekend

Ottawa, Canada Cabot Bigham and the #2 Bryan Herta Rallysport Supercar completed the second doubleheader weekend of the 2017 Red Bull Global Rallycross Series. Team and driver battled high winds and rain on an airstrip along the Canada Aviation and Space Museum located in Ottowa, Canada for Rounds 5 and 6 of the series.

Saturday’s Round 5 was highlighted with the rookie’s first Supercar Heat victory in Heat 2A. The #2 car crossed the finish line in front of a roaring Canadian crowd with a P4 finish in Heat 1A, P1 in Heat 2A, P4 in Heat 3A, P5 in Semifinal B to finish Saturday’s Round in seventh place.

Sunday’s Round 6 resulted in the #2 Bryan Herta Rallysport team finishing Heats 1, 2 and 3 in P5, a P5 in Semifinal B to complete the day with an 8th place finish for the Round 6 Final.

“This weekend went pretty well for us.” said Bigham. “We showed great pace in early sessions along with my first Heat win in a Supercar. We learned so much this weekend and having Bryan Herta here was amazing because he sees everything in the eyes of the driver. He’s a great driver coach.

The guys did a great job working extremely hard on the car throughout this doubleheader weekend. Although we did not get the result we wanted, ultimately we learned a lot as a team and we know we can win a Heat race. We’re ready to take on Indianapolis.”

Now halfway through the 2017 season, the team’s travel halts as Round 7 takes place on their home turf in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Raceway July 8-9.
