BHA Scores Victory in Successful GT Racing Debut at Road Atlanta

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 20, 2026) – Bryan Herta Autosport w/ Curb-Agajanian (BHA) enjoyed a successful first weekend in GT competition, highlighted by a victory in its debut McLaren Trophy America event and strong performances in GT4 America at Road Atlanta.

The team entered two new programs at Road Atlanta, fielding the No. 98 McLaren Artura Trophy Evo in McLaren Trophy America and the No. 49 McLaren Artura GT4 in GT4 America competition.

In McLaren Trophy America, Daniel Hanley and Bryson Morris delivered an impressive debut for the No. 98 entry. The duo claimed victory in the Pro class on Saturday before adding a third-place Pro class finish on Sunday. The strong results marked an encouraging start to BHA’s partnership with McLaren Denver and Curb Records.

Morris and Hanley quickly adapted to the McLaren Artura Trophy Evo, running at the front throughout the weekend and earning the team’s first GT racing victory in its inaugural event.

“Awesome debut weekend running the McLaren Trophy America with Bryan Herta Autosport!” said Morris. “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t hoping for a win but I was definitely not expecting one! The crew gave us a great car for the weekend and we could compete with the top cars right away. Daniel did a great job as well

and we all still have a lot to learn so I think we will only be getting quicker.”

Hanley and Morris will continue behind the wheel of the No. 98 McLaren Artura Trophy Evo for the remainder of the 2026 McLaren Trophy America season.

In GT4 America competition, Alessandro Chiocchetti and Mason Filippi made steady progress throughout the weekend aboard the No. 49 McLaren Artura GT4. The pair finished 13th in the Pro-Am category during Race 1 before improving to ninth in Race 2 on Saturday.

Competing in a highly competitive field, Chiocchetti and Filippi gained valuable experience while continuing to develop the team’s new GT4 program.

“Unbelievable weekend as we launched our first ever McLaren Trophy America and GT4 America efforts,” said team owner Bryan Herta. “I am incredibly proud of the drivers, crew, engineers, and our manager Phil Howard for creating a successful start to this new challenge. We will continue to work and learn to build off our early successes.”

The Road Atlanta weekend marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Bryan Herta Autosport as the organization expands its racing portfolio into GT competition.
