Bigham Ready for Second Doubleheader in Ottawa, Canada

Ottawa, Canada Cabot Bigham and the Bryan Herta Rallysport team travel north to Ottawa, Canada after a quick two week turnaround for Rounds 5 and 6 of the Red Bull Global Rallycross Series. Ottawa, the nation’s capital, is home to a yearlong celebration commemorating Canada’s 150th anniversary with the Red Bull Global Rallycross doubleheader weekend as a highlighted event.

The race weekend will take place at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum alongside an airstrip featuring historic aircraft, including Royal Canadian Air Force planes. The .762 mile 9-turn course with 60.2 percent pavement and 35.8 percent dirt will encompass the RBGRC standard 70-foot jump and a joker lap which shortcuts between turns 3 and 6.

“I’m very impressed with the Bryan Herta Rallysport crew.” Said Bigham. “They were able to put the car back together in a matter of five days from our previous doubleheader in Connecticut. I’m looking forward to being competitive in Ottawa for the second doubleheader of the season. I’m also excited to have Bryan Herta here this weekend as he is able to offer great advice from a driver’s perspective, so I think we will be able to maximize fully on that as a team.”

“I’m super excited to be in Ottawa for this weekend’s RBGRC races.” Said Team Owner Bryan Herta. “I have not been able to attend any events personally this year due to my other commitments in the Verizon Indycar Championship, so I have been glued to the live timing and calling the team 100 times a day to get updates.  Red Bull Global Rallycross races are always so exciting, and I am sure Cabot is due for a breakout performance so can’t wait to get started.”

Gates open to the public Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 AM ET. Tickets start at $75 CAD; two-day general admission tickets are $105 CAD. Children 12 and under are FREE with a ticketed adult. All tickets give access to an open paddock and driver autograph sessions throughout the weekend.
