Bryan Herta Autosport Extends Podium Streak as Morris and Filippi Finish Second at Watkins Glen

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 28, 2026) – Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA) extended its streak of earning at least one podium finish in every round of the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season Saturday at Watkins Glen International. Bryson Morris and Mason Filippi led the team with a runner-up finish in the No. 33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR as all four BHA Hyundai Elantra N TCR entries finished inside the top seven.

As the fifth of 10 races on the 2026 schedule, Watkins Glen marked the official halfway point of the season. BHA remains firmly in the championship hunt heading into the final five rounds.

No. 33 Continues Strong Season

Starting fifth, Morris and Filippi steadily worked their way through the field to finish second after a strong race-long effort. The result marks the duo’s fourth podium of the season, adding to podium finishes at Daytona and Sebring and their victory at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

The runner-up finish also earned Hyundai Hope On Wheels a $5,000 donation for Roswell Park Oishei Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Program. Through the first five races of the season, Bryan Herta Autosport has helped raise a total of $40,600 for children’s hospitals across the country.

Team Effort Delivers Four Top-Seven Finishes

The No. 76 Hyundai Elantra N TCR of Preston Brown and Denis Dupont advanced from 11th on the starting grid to finish fifth.

Mark Wilkins and Maddie Aust gained six positions of their own, charging from 12th to sixth in the No. 98 Hyundai Elantra N TCR.

Lance Bergstein and Harry Gottsacker completed the race in seventh after starting ninth in the No. 18 Hyundai Elantra N TCR.

With all four Hyundai Elantra N TCR entries finishing inside the top seven, Bryan Herta Autosport continued the consistency that has defined its 2026 campaign.

Championship Chase Reaches Midseason

The 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season has officially reached its halfway point with five races complete. Bryan Herta Autosport has remained a championship contender throughout the opening half of the season, consistently placing multiple cars near the front and collecting podium finishes at every event.
