Crossing Continents: Busy Days at BHA

Wishing you a Happy Easter weekend! There’s a lot going on at Bryan Herta Autosport. Here’s the latest:
NYC Auto Show: Mark Wilkins and Robert Wickens are appearing at the NY Auto Show this weekend. They will be signing autographs from 11- 1 Saturday and Sunday at the Hyundai Display at the Javits Convention Center. Upon the show’s opening this week, Hyundai received three major awards. The IONIQ 6 was named World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle and World Car Design of the Year.
Nürburgring: Our partners at Hyundai Motor America recently announced their entry in the historic Nürburgring 24-hour race. “Hyundai USA Team” is comprised of four BHA drivers: Taylor Hagler, Michael Lewis, Harry Gottsacker and Mason Filippi. In order to receive the required “A Permit” to participate in the 24-hour race, there are several requirements that must be met, including completing a minimum of 25 laps each in the NLS races, and finishing in the top 75%. The drivers have made three trips to Germany in the last four weeks, successfully fulfilling each required event:
3/11 Trip 1: Licensing coursework
3/18 Trip 2: NLS race 1 (4 Hours)
4/1 Trip 3: NLS race 2 (4 Hours)
4/15 Trip 4: NLS race 3 (4 Hours)
4/22 Trip 5: Nürburgring 24 Qualifying Races
5/20 Trip 6: ADAC 24 Hours of Nürburgring

Autographs Coast to Coast: In addition to the autograph sessions this weekend at the NY Auto Show, Robert Wickens will be signing at the Hyundai display in the convention center at the Long Beach Grand Prix next Friday, April 14th at Noon and Saturday, April 16th at 3pm. Mark Wilkins returns to the NY Auto Show next weekend alongside Hyundai driver Tyler Maxson. The pair will sign from 11-1 on Saturday and Sunday.
2023 Recap: Two races into the 2023 season and BHA drivers hold two of the top-three positions in the series standings. Mark Wilkins and Mason Filippi are currently tied for first. they’ve had a strong start to the season with back to back third place finishes. Harry Gottsacker and Robert Wickens are ranked third, just 30 points behind the leaders. They finished on the podium, second at Sebring. Defending champions Taylor Hagler and Michael Lewis are eighth.
Next Up: The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge kicks back into high gear next month at Hyundai’s home race, the Motul Course de Monterey Powered by Hyundai. Hyundai recently announced they are the official and exclusive automotive partner of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
