Chaves Soldiers Home to 15th in Toronto
Tricky Weather Proves Difficult to Perfect Setup
Gabby Chaves and the BHA team worked hard all weekend in trying wet, semi-wet, and dry conditions to find the grip and balance that would allow Gabby to continue his recent run of top-ten results.  Weather cancelled one of only three available practice sessions, and a brake issue in another, meant Gabby and the BHA team only had one meaningful practice period in which to try to improve the car for the bumpy and slick downtown Toronto street circuit.  In the end, the Bowers & Wilkins team delivered another clean finish, improved from their 22nd starting position, and secured a fifteenth place finish.Gabby Chaves also moved into fifteenth in season points; proving the consistency of the team’s preparations and Chaves’s driving. To date, the leading rookie in the Verizon IndyCar Series has completed all but four laps in the racing events.Gabby Chaves on the Honda Indy Toronto:
“We had a race where we still managed to finish the race, learn some more. We definitely struggled with pace, it was tough with so few laps in practice to get the car dialed in where I needed it. I’m happy we got a finish as it was tricky out there today, but I’m ready to fight for Top Fives and will be pushing hard to finish these last six races.  The team is still highly motivated, I am still highly motivated. I think we can close out this last 1/3 of the championship improving even more and on a high.”

The BHA team will enjoy their first weekend off since since the first of May before heading to California Speedway in Fontana, CA for the second 500-mile race of the season on June 27th. Chaves finished second there in 2013’s Indy Lights race, and looks to improve on his two strong appearances on ovals in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
