Ryan Norman and Parker Chase set the fastest times today at Road America. The #98 Elantra N TCR outpaced the rest of the TCR class by nearly a second. Harry Gottsacker and Mark Wilkins set the fourth quickest time in the #33 Elantra N TCR and Michael Johnson and Stephen Simpson were 11th in the #54 Hyundai Veloster N TCR. The #77 has a fresh new engine for qualifying tomorrow, championship points leaders Taylor Hagler and Michael Lewis did not record a time in practice 2.
A massive rain storm, accompanied by thunder and lightning drenched the 4-mile track at Road America late in the afternoon on Friday.
